As a campaign team leader and chief writer/creative director for the John O’Donnell Company—a fundraising firm—he raised millions of dollars for its nonprofit clients and was one of the firm’s lead business development strategists. He conceived and created newsletters for the U.N.’s Education Division, marketing campaigns for Mt. Sinai Medical Center and prototype TV spots for an innovative technology firm.
Charles’ many awards in marketing and communications, advertising, promotions and direct mail include the Andy Awards, Broadcasters Promotion Association Award, Silver Microphone Award, Quill Award and the Big Apple Award. Charles holds a B.A. and M.A. in Psychology and a degree in advertising.

Her multi-faceted expertise encompasses strategic planning, capital and capacity-building campaigns, annual fund campaigns, corporate sponsorships, foundations, major gift individuals, donor recognition, direct marketing, and special events promotions. A highly skilled and versatile writer, she creates materials that capture the heart of a nonprofit’s mission and engage donors, members, and sponsors with persuasive case statements, grant proposals, direct mail appeals, special event and corporate sponsorship promotions, newsletters, and more.
Liz is an expert in coaching and preparing nonprofit leaders to cultivate and solicit funders and in training board and staff in fundraising techniques.
Prior to joining IMAGEER, Liz was Assistant Vice President at the John O’Donnell Company, where she raised millions of dollars for a wide variety of nonprofits in human services, health, and education. Prior to her career in fundraising, Liz worked in business-to-business direct marketing, advertising and market research. She is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and the President’s Council of Women In Development and a past board member of the Direct Marketing Fundraisers Association.
